Safe use, washing, and storage for heated jackets, vests and hoodies.
Safety First
- Always disconnect and remove the power bank before washing or storing.
- Check cables and connectors for damage before each use. Do not use if damaged.
- Do not use heating while sleeping. Avoid pinching or sharply bending wires.
- Keep away from open flame, solvents, and high heat sources (heaters, dryers).
- Stop using immediately if overheating, unusual odour, or moisture ingress occurs.
Power Charging
- Designed for 5V USB power banks. Use reputable brands only.
- Charge the power bank with the supplied/approved cable and a quality charger.
- Keep connectors dry. Only reconnect when the garment is completely dry.
Using Heat Settings
- Start on a lower setting and increase as needed.
- Higher heat uses more battery. If feeling too warm, reduce the setting or switch off.
Washing Drying
- Turn off and unplug. Remove the power bank.
- Close zips and place the garment in a laundry bag to reduce wear.
- Machine wash on a gentle cycle, cold water. Mild detergent only.
- Do not bleach. Do not use fabric softener.
- Do not wring or twist. Press excess water out with a towel.
- Air dry flat or on a hanger in the shade. Do not tumble dry or iron.
- Ensure the garment and connectors are fully dry before reconnecting.
Storage
- Power off and disconnect the cable. Store the lead inside the pocket.
- Ensure the garment is clean and completely dry before storing.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- If stored for several months, recharge the power bank every 2–3 months.
Troubleshooting
- No heat / lights off: Check power bank is charged, connected firmly, and the garment switch is on.
- Uneven warmth: Allow 2–3 minutes for even heat. Adjust layers to improve insulation.
- Turns off quickly: Lower the heat setting or try a higher-capacity power bank.
- Moisture detected: Disconnect immediately. Dry completely before reuse.
Make sure you:
- Inspect cables and pockets regularly.
- Use a laundry bag and gentle, cold machine cycle.
- Air dry completely before reconnecting.
Avoid the following:
- Don’t tumble dry, iron, or dry clean.
- Don’t bleach or use fabric softener.
- Don’t operate when wet or in heavy rain.
